Bridgend Fairtrade Festival

It was my great pleasure to be the guest judge at the ‘Fairtrade Bake Off’ at last month’s Bridgend Fairtrade Festival. The event was organised by The Bridgend Fairtrade Partnership. Local schools, community groups and individual bakers were invited to get baking and to use as many Fairtrade ingredients as they could in their entries.

Porthcawl Primary Care Centre

I am pleased that building work has now started on the new primary care and community services centre in Porthcawl. A few weeks ago, GPs and healthcare officials held a turf cutting ceremony to mark the start of construction. The new centre will be located on Newton Nottage Road, next to Meadow Lake. I know
