Below is my latest seaside news article:
As we near the end of this unbelievably difficult and challenging year, I would like to thank all of our volunteers, community groups and third sector organisations who have worked tirelessly to help and support others not just during the first lockdown but also during the recent firebreak lockdown. Having spent time with some of the volunteers who have been helping our most vulnerable, I know the difference they have made. Their impact and contribution on the ground has been immense. To paraphrase one volunteer – our local volunteers have moved mountains, have given hope and help in so many creative ways and have shown a real generosity of spirit and kindness.
My team and I have continued to help and support people, answering a huge amount of calls and emails together with sharing important information on my Twitter and Facebook pages. I remain in regular contact with key organisations that are providing support such as Cwm Taf Morgannwg UHB, Bridgend Council and South Wales Police together with some local charities. I have also continued to raise issues directly with the First Minister and other Welsh ministers at the Senedd/Welsh Parliament.
Keep well and keep safe over the festive period.
